Tromba e sordine

Nato a Trieste nel 1972. Inizia a suonare la tromba nelle bande di città sin da giovane; nel 1991 si diploma presso il Conservatorio di Trieste G.Tartini. Qualche anno dopo si dedica all’improvvisazione e dal 1995 allo studio del jazz seguendo i seminari estivi di Siena, Urbino e Perugia, dove in quest’ultimo riceve una borsa di studio per studiare alla berklee negli Stati Uniti e due partecipazioni ad importanti rassegne quali Umbria jazz winter (VT) ed Eco jazz festival (RC). Negli ultimi anni si avvicina sensibilmente alla scena popolare, suonando in Italia e Slovenia con: BalkanBabau Circus Orchestra, Original Kletzmer Ensemble, Earthbeat Ensemble. Con quest’ultimo incide “los lugares del sueno”, che entrerà nella classifica Top Jazz della rivista Musica Jazz come uno dei migliori dischi dell’anno. Rimane comunque attivo nel jazz e avrà occasione di suonare con: Tony Scott,Paul Jeffrey ,Enrico Rava, U.T. Gandhi,Giancarlo Schiaffini,Luca Calabrese,Sebi Tramontana,Beppe Caruso,Pietro Tonolo,Marcello Tonolo,Glauco Venier,Alberto Mandarini,Lauro Rossi,Nevio Zaninotto, Daniele Dagaro ,Giovanni Maier, Sandro Gibellini,Andrea Allione, Nicola Becattini e molti altri. Collabora e ha collaborato con: Siena Jazz Big Band, Ocho Rios, Model T Bolgie, Royal Big Band, Udine BigBand, OrchestraJazz del Friuli Venezia Giulia,Panthabrass,Pupkin kabarett. Dal 2002 risulta artista e arrangiatore del gruppo “Ezz-thetic” prodotto dalla casa “Good Lookin”di Londra. Inoltre, sin dal diploma, rimane collegato alla musica classica collaborando con il Teatro G.Verdi dal 2004 lavorando a varie produzioni lirico/sinfoniche.Ha suonato per vari festivals jazz in Italia,Svizzera,Croazia,Francia,Austria e Germania
Ha partecipato a trasmissioni radiofoniche e televisive per la R.A.I in qualità di esecutore, arrangiatore, compositore e solista.

Trumpet

Born in Trieste in 1972, he started to play the trumpet in town bands at an early age. In 1991, he graduated from the conservatory of music Giuseppe Tartini, in Trieste. Some years later, he devoted himself to improvisation; since 1995, he has been studying Jazz, attending summer seminars in Siena, Urbino and Perugia. At this last seminar, he won a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music, Boston, USA, and got two invitations to important festivals such as The Umbria Jazz Winter (VT) and Eco Jazz Festival (RC). In the last years, he has been fascinated by poplar music, and played in Italy and Slovenia with BalkanBabau, Circus Orchestra, Original Kletzmer Ensemble, Earthbeat Ensemble. With this last band, he recorded “Los lugares del sueno”, which goes into the Top Jazz chart of Music Jazz review as one of the best albums of the year. Nonetheless, he has also kept up his Jazz music, getting the chance to play with Tony Scott, Paul Jeffrey, Enrico Rava, U.T. Gandhi, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Luca Calabrese, Sebi Tramontana, Beppe Caruso, Pietro Tonolo, Marcello Tonolo, Glauco Venier, Alberto Mandarini, Lauro Rossi, Nevio Zaninotto, Daniele Dagaro, Giovanni Maier, Sandro Gibellini, Andrea Allione, Nicola Becattini and many others. He has collaborated and still collaborates with: Siena Jazz Big Band, Ocho Rios, Model T Bolgie, Royal Big Band, Udine BigBand, OrchestraJazz del Friuli Venezia Giulia, Panthabrass, Pupkin Kabarett. Since 2002, he has been part of “Ezz-thetic” and produced “Good Looking” by London Record Label, as both a musician and arranger. Moreover, since he has earned his diploma, he has been cultivating his passion for classical music, collaborating, since 2004, at numerous lyrical

and symphonic productions with Verdi Theatre in Trieste. Finally, he played in many Jazz festivals in Italy, Switzerland, Croatia, France, Austria and Germany and took part in RAI radio and TV programs as performer, arranger, composer and solo artist.

Clarinetto, clarinetto basso, clarinetto in Mib, voce

Musicista eclettico, affermato all’attenzione del pubblico e della critica, da molti anni svolge attività con formazioni di musica contemporanea, jazz, etnica, rock che lo hanno portato ad esibirsi in tutta Italia e all’estero (New York, Boston, Buenos Aires, Parigi, Stocolma,Bucarest, Smirne). Con il pianista Giovanni De Cecco forma il Duo Sebes  premiato in numerosi ed importanti concorsi cameristici con un repertorio nel quale si fondono la musica romantica,le tradizioni del folclore romeno e la musica klezmer. Dal 2005 è componente stabile dell’Ensamble di musica contemporanea l’Arsenale diretto da Filippo Perocco. Oltre al repertorio dei grandi contemporanei, l’ensamble interpreta numerose prime esecuzioni di compositori emergenti. Collabora, inoltre con lo storico Interensemble di Bernardino Beggio con cui ha recentemente inciso il cd Contemporanea 2008”. Con il progetto cantautorale”Don Ciccio Philarmonic Orchestra” ha vinto il premio Arezzo Wave 2004 ed ha prodotto il cd “Suite per viaggiatori”nel 2008. Nel 2008 forma il Soledad Tango Trio, con il quale sta approfondendo il linguaggio del tango in veste di clarinettista basso e cantante. Collabora inoltre con la Venice Hot Jazz Band, con i Mocambo Swing, con i Rumellai, con i Cabarest, con Erica Boschiero, con l’orchestra popolare di Venezia e con Tony Green. Dal 2007 è titolare della Cattedra di clarinetto al Liceo Musicale Manzato di Treviso.Dal 2008 viene invitato da Elisabetta Maschio al festival “Gioie Musicali”di Asolo in veste di docente di laboratorio di musica klezmer.

He gained public and critical acclaim as an eclectic musician. For many years, he has been working with groups of contemporary musicians in Jazz, ethnic and rock music, which has allowed him to play throughout the world (New York, Boston, Buenos Aires, Paris, Stockholm, Bucharest, Izmir). He formed with pianist Giovanni De Cecco the “Duo Sebes”, award-winning in many important camera music contests with a repertory that includes romantic music, Romanian folklore songs and Klezmer music. Since 2005, he has been a permanent member of the contemporary music Ensemble “l’Arsenal” conducted by Filippo Perrocco. Besides its repertoire, based on great contemporary players, the ensemble also performs many pieces by contemporary composers. Moreover, he is collaborating with the renowned Interensemble by Bernardino Beggio, with whom he has recently recorded “Contemporanea 2008”. In 2004, he won the Arezzo Wave award with his songwriting project ”Don Ciccio Philarmonic Orchestra”, with whom he also produced “Suite per viaggiatori”, in 2008. In the same year, he formed the Soledad Tango Trio, with whom he has been deepening the Tango as both a bass clarinet musician and singer. He is also collaborating with Venice Hot Jazz Band, Mocambo Swing, i Rumellai, i Cabarest, Erica Boschiero, Venice popular orchestra and Tony Green. Since 2007, he has been teaching clarinet at Manzato Musical High School, in Treviso. Since 2008, after Elisabetta Maschio’s invitation, he has been teaching Klezmer music at the Asolo “Gioie Musicali” festival.

Contrabbasso

Inizia lo studio del basso elettrico sotto la guida del M° Piero Cescut. Studia contrabbasso sotto l’egida del M° Romano Todesco (Maestro di contrabbasso e di vita). Approfondisce gli studi classici con il M° Mauro Muraro, il M° Fabio Serafini ed il M° Franco Feruglio. Approfondisce lo studio del linguaggio Jazz con il M° Marc Abrams.


Double bass

He started playing electric guitar bass under the guidance of maestro Piero Cescut. He took up double bass study under the aegis of maestro Romano Todesco (maestro of double bass and life). He deepened his classical studies with maestro Mauro Muraro, maestro Fabio Serafini and maestro Franco Feruglio. He enhanced the study of Jazz language with maestro Marc Abrams.
